About This Blog
I am one of the millions of people out there dreaming of being published.
For now, my primary job is Stay at Home Mother.
The setting? Chaos.
Attempting to write as the chaos dances around me is challenging. Some days impossible.
It is simply one of the trials frustrations joys of having two toddlers with you all day.
To not write, or at least attempt to write would be bad.
Very bad.
Writing is my outlet, my therapy. My sanity.
This blog is All About Writing. It will contain everything from rants about rewriting my work in progress, to writing challenges/prompts given on other blogs.
“Sometimes you have to go on when you don’t feel like it, and sometimes you’re doing good work when it feels like all you’re managing is to shovel shit from a sitting position.”
- Stephen King from “On Writing”
Being your typical insecure writer, I thrive on feedback. Did my post suck? Did it make you laugh? Cry? What could I do better? Please aid me on my journey to become a better writer and drop me a line.
As of 2-11-11: Currently, I am doing regular posts on Tuesday and Friday for The Red Dress Club writing prompts (rebranded in August 2011 as Write On Edge). On these days, I participate in “links up” and my free time is spent reading and commenting on as many of them as possible so they have feedback.
I plan to respond to every comment, it just may take a while.
Warning: these posts are often not happy or warm and fuzzy. They can be dark fiction, a memoir from a painful time in my childhood, or funny. Posts could contain cursing, violence, sex, or Dr. Seuss-ish rhyming.
It all depends on the prompt.
If you’re looking for more humor or my Tales of Motherhood, see my mommy blog over at Dances with Chaos.
Now let the chaos begin….

Can’t wait to follow along. Love the name. Writing with Chaos…because really…that’s writing with kids in a nutshell.
Write on, Sista!
I am diggin this sister. So many parent can relate to the challenges of trying to write while children swirl about. In fact, that’s one of the most common themes I see in tweets from moms. Keep at it. I’ll be reading!
[...] Today’s special guest poster is Natalie from Mommy of a Monster and Twins. I met Natalie on Twitter through her involvement with The Red Dress Club (they do writing prompts which I post about over on Writing with Chaos). [...]
